Season's Greetings Local Moto Hub Member!
2012 Santa with Motorcycle OrnamentIt’s that time again and Local Moto Hub is pleased to present our Holiday edition newsletter.  We’ve certainly had some unusually warm weather well past the traditional riding season, but most of us have stored the bike and gear for the winter.  But that doesn’t mean we stop thinking about motorcycles and riding.   To prepare for the holiday season, we asked our sponsors and friends in the Midwest motorcycle community to give us their suggestions for motorcycle-related gift ideas.  We received some terrific ideas and are pleased to present our Local Moto Hub “2012 Motorcycle Enthusiasts’ Holiday Wish List”.  We specified that the item must be under $200 and asked for new, unique or just fun.  You’ll see that the ideas range from stocking stuffers under $25 to specialized gear at the top end, with lots of suggestions in between.   See entire Holiday Wish List…

Janus Halcyon 50 MotorcycleSpeaking of Indiana, there's a new kid in town.  Janus Motorcycles, based in Goshen, Indiana, recently introduced the Halcyon 50, with distinctive 1920's era styling.  The two-stroke water-cooled engine is from Derbi, while the EBR suspension is Italian. It features a 17mm Delorto carburetor, kick and electric starting system, tuned expansion chamber complete with stinger exhaust and 36-spoke wheels.  The frame is hand made by local Amish metal fabricators - how cool is that?
