The top five things motorcyclists can do to stay safe are:

* Ride within your limits.

* Ride within your bike's limits.

* Check your bike before you ride.

* Check your mental status before you ride.

* Always be aware of intersections. Intersections are the No. 1 place for collisions, as vehicle making left turns will always say they never saw the rider.
